Support Programs For Parents
When your child is sick, life can feel really hard. We’re here to help.
The Parent Stress/Anxiety/Post-Trauma Partner Program, run by the Child Life Program at The Moncton Hospital, would provide much-needed support for parents with children in the Pediatric or NNICU units. Activities like family support groups, movie or bowling nights, and connecting parents to helpful resources would ease feelings of isolation and anxiety during these challenging times.
While volunteer-driven, the program offers structured opportunities for parents to bond and share experiences, though it has limitations in resources. By fostering emotional resilience and a sense of community, the program would also enhance communication between parents and medical staff, ultimately leading to better care and outcomes for both children and families.
Your donations can make this program a reality and help more families heal together.
